Gatto supporting sumthink AUSTRALIAN!
WELL. ARE YOU?
Mick Gatto visited the sumthink Store on Friday, 15 January 2010. One of thousands of Shoppers that visited the South Melbourne Market that week. We had a brief Private Chat, which shall remain that. Before I went through some of my Original sumthink Designs. Starting off with the Infamous "Carlton Crew" Tee. Traditions Die Hard & A Man would be a nice sort of Dingo to walk out on his Mates. Gatto Laughed.
Mick Gatto did not hesitate, when I asked him to sign a sumthink Tee. "What even the Carlton Crew Tee?" I asked. Gatto replied "No. Not at all!" The only set-back being, it was a the Navy Tee and I only had a Black-Tip Marker. "You wont be able to see it," Gatto said. What did that matter, I thought? "I don't mind, just sign it." I said. Gatto was right, the Navy Tee was too dark and Mick said, "It's no good give me a another Tee." Now that I look back, I could have chosen my words more carefully and replied "Just do it!"
Being a Collingwood Supporter, I asked Gatto to sign the sumthink Collingwood Outlaws - "Our Nation's Finest" Tee. Which he acknowledged. Could you picture Gatto sitting, with the Collingwood Cheer Squad on Anzac Day? Me neither. Still bring on The Pies!
"MATE. I've been trying to get you into sumthink AUSTRALIAN for two years!" And pointed at the Tee he wore. Gatto Laughed.
